If people no longer expect objectivity from their political and legal systems, then all justice will be reduced to a power struggle between conflicting and irreconcilable perspectives, a struggle in which the most dominant and pervasive bias will replace fair and impartial process as the character of justice. But if objectivity in law and politics is everywhere supplanted by conflict between subjective interests, then the side of economic privilege and established authority will always retain dominance. A society in which people no longer expect representatives of its major institutions even to attempt to render objectivity in their professional demeanours is a society whose major institutions are in a crisis of ethical legitimacy. In such a society, there is wide spread cynicism regarding the possibility of fair political process because it seems impossible that impartial, unbiased dispositions could exist to enact such processes.

" OTTAWA – Legal experts are raising red flags about “disguised extraditions” after a letter obtained by Global News shows Canadian border officials met with their Chinese counterparts to discuss what to do with fugitives sought by the communist country.
“CBSA is using deportation as disguised extradition,” said Audrey Macklin, a law professor at the University of Toronto. “Essentially China is recruiting Canada to do its dirty work for it and circumventing extradition. This does not look good on CBSA or Canada.”
Extradition normally requires a country to formally request that Canada return an alleged fugitive – a decision that is made by the federal justice minister and an extradition judge.
Immigration lawyer Lorne Waldman has seen firsthand the reliability of Chinese investigators. He cross-examined one who was brought to Canada to testify at an immigration hearing.
On the stand, the Chinese official denied the 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre even though reports put the death toll in the hundreds and some in the thousands.

The United Steelworkers union is accusing the provincial government of misleading the public about investigating allegations Chinese miners are paying money to work in Canada.
In the letter, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Jobs and Skills Training Dave Byng said it completed its investigation into the allegations in November 2012 and found no evidence B.C.-based companies were charging fees.

In particular, our trade with China is extremely unbalanced. Today, U.S. consumers spend approximately 4 dollars on goods and services from China for every one dollar that Chinese consumers spend on goods and services from the United States.
But isn't getting cheap stuff from China good?
No, because it costs us good paying jobs.
According to the Economic Policy Institute, the United States is losing half a million jobs to China every single year.
Overall, more than 56,000 manufacturing facilities in the United States have been shut down since 2001. During 2010, manufacturing facilities in the United States were shutting down at a rate of 23 per day. How can anyone say that "things are getting better" when our economic infrastructure is being absolutely gutted? "

China, Russia make grab for Internet through the ITU
The basic idea is that political repression is a cost on human society. So much human potential lost because some crazy dictator somewhere thought that personal power over human society is worth more than human life. We now have a communist dictatorship expanding it's power over the world.

Harper Government encourages the use of Chinese state owned Huawei technology in Canadian communications networks.
"Concerns over the use of Chinese company Huawei Technology by Canadian carriers Telus, Bell and WIND, reports the CBC. Van Cleave believes North American security is at risk due to the Harper Government allowing and encouraging the use of Chinese telecommunications technology.
Currently, the LTE networks built up by Telus and Bell utilize Huawei hardware across Canada. WIND’s network was built by Huewei and currently sell their cellphones. Could the use of this technology compromise our national security and allow for spying? Van Cleave believes so, in an interview with the CBC:
Van Cleave says the intelligence community fears digital “back doors” could be hidden in the telecommunications networks, allowing spies to steal American and Canadian secrets and ultimately disrupt everything from public utilities to military operations in the event of international conflict.
It was revealed last month Public Safety Canadawarned foreign telecom ownership is a ‘considerable risk’. It was only last year the Federal Government was target in a cyber attack originating from China, that compromised computers within the Finance, Treasury Board and Defence Research departments. Currently, the U.S. and Australia has barred Huawei from bidding on major telecom contracts in their respective countries, on the notion the Chinese firm poses a potential security threat. Some have accused Huawei of being engaged in espionage for the Chinese government, which the company has denied."

This neatly compiled collection of newscasts puts together the case that something has gone very wrong at the highest levels of our society. The Internet Lockdown: Through Bill C-11, Big Media lobbyists are seeking the power to compel telecom providers (who will now have surveillance capabilities) to cut Internet access for no good reason, remove or hide vast swaths of the Internet, and lock users out of their own services.
The Cell Phone Squeeze: Big Telecom giants are lobbying the government to turn over control of mobile communications—which experts say are the future of Internet access—to just three giant companies. This will lead to rising prices, even worse customer service, and more easily controlled surveillance.
