If people no longer expect objectivity from their political and legal systems, then all justice will be reduced to a power struggle between conflicting and irreconcilable perspectives, a struggle in which the most dominant and pervasive bias will replace fair and impartial process as the character of justice. But if objectivity in law and politics is everywhere supplanted by conflict between subjective interests, then the side of economic privilege and established authority will always retain dominance. A society in which people no longer expect representatives of its major institutions even to attempt to render objectivity in their professional demeanours is a society whose major institutions are in a crisis of ethical legitimacy. In such a society, there is wide spread cynicism regarding the possibility of fair political process because it seems impossible that impartial, unbiased dispositions could exist to enact such processes.

Chinese Firm Huawei In Control of UK Net Filters
Why are UK politicians handing over control of the internet to the communists?
It's obvious that the politicians are corrupt.
Solution: develop checks and balances that prevent corrupt politicians from damaging the national security interests of democracy. Politicians should not be allowed to sell out their country.
We need to develop systems that automatically deal with politicians who work for the enemy.
No sane patriot would hand over assets to the communists, not for anything, no surrender.
The people need to organize in support of democratic state sovereignty and security.
Irresponsible traitors will try to bring down our free society and all it has accomplished from within, the people must support the state, and the state must support the people. A symbiotic relationship.
Society is worth preserving, our freedom and the peace that it underpins are not to be cast aside.
Under no circumstance are politicians justified in selling off control to foreign totalitarian regimes.
The only reason you have rights, the only reason you have democracy is because of the people in the security services and military who volunteer to risk their lives to protect your constitutional rights. If we did not have forces to defend our state security we would not have a state, and with no state we would not be guaranteed constitutional freedom, or a vote, or any sort of basic security.
I very much doubt that MI6 would approve of handing over the keys to the intelligence store to a company founded by a highly placed Chinese Communist military officer. The problem is that the corrupt and incompetent politicians do not listen to the state funded advice provided to them, and in so doing disregard the national security interests of the people. Political re-adjustment is both possible and necessary. Just as the constitution acts as parameters for political action, the national security rights of the public should be enshrined in some kind of parameter that would prevent politicians from betraying state security. If we have freedom of peaceful assembly, freedom to vote, freedom of the press, and general freedom of conscience, than why do we not have freedom from politicians who sell out national security. Security is the ultimate freedom in that it underpins all else.
Democracy will only last so long as the security services can guarantee its continued existence.
Support the troops, and when you vote, vote to give our lads a fighting chance.

Social Media in China Is ‘War,’ Says Communist Official
" Li gives a sobering response: “Psychological warfare, legal warfare, and public opinion warfare are all important tools for modern warfighting. Doing battle on microblogs is also within the ‘three warfares’ category.” "
" The Chinese Communist Party is known to carry out an intensive and intricate policy of Internet surveillance and censorship; as well as deleting posts, the regime also hires an untold number of online commentators, called the “50 cent party,” (for the amount they’re putatively paid per post) whose job it is to steer public opinion. "
Communist Party members seem to be suffering a mental illness. Why do communist party members insist on trying to impose totalitarianism on the globe? So much effort to load every comment board with communist propaganda all because they are so determined to try and control public opinion, all so they can impose a system of dictatorship that will only lead to more human suffering.
Message to communist party thugs, nothing good will come of being an extremist, nothing good will come of trying to eliminate your "opposition". If you were enlightened you would understand that the members of the community that disagree with you are not your enemy. Constitutionally protected human rights and democratic governance are social innovations that create tremendous value for society. When you abandon totalitarianism you allow intellectuals to contribute to the betterment of us all.
If people like Hitler, Stalin and Mao had not embraced such madness, think of how much better we would all be better off today. What is the point of all this? What do these madmen hope to accomplish? Where do we want to be as a world? I'm willing to bet most of us, down at the peasant level, want to love one another. How can that be accomplished if the communist party policy is to put so many resources into stamping out dissent? Why resist constitutionally protected human rights for all citizens? If you want to serve the people then you must end the violence against the people, and this can only be accomplished if they have human rights protected by the constitution? This is not a "Western idea", its just an idea. An idea can not be assigned an identity. To deny an idea based upon the "identity" of the creator is the definition of insanity.
If you want to serve the people, you must become a better human being.
End political repression now. Tear down this wall.
The cost of lost human potential is the price of political repression.
Compassion is Sanity.

Snowden’s Disclosures Tar US With Beijing’s Brush
Accusations suggest false moral equivalence
I don't like this brave new world any more than you do, but the reality is if America would disarm its Signals Intelligence it would not make a dam difference for your privacy since China would still be running its own versions of "PRISM". This capability is a lot like nuclear weapons, if one party unilaterally disarms it only creates incentive for conflict to occur.
If Edward Snowden really wanted to protect us from an architecture of oppression why would he defect to Communist China? This looks like a carefully orchestrated phy-op.
Why defect to a completely controlled police state so you can lecture the world on police states?
Of course the privacy issues raised by Snowden are fair comment in a democratic society, but this entire scenario looks completely staged.
Signals intelligence, with proper checks and balances, is a tool that could be used for good or evil.
These are strange times, the world needs good people, so do all you can to make it good.
While America badly needs reform, Americans still have a lot of freedom that people in China don't have. It just doesn't seem to promote the cause of freedom for Snowden to become a propaganda instrument of the Chinese regime. The Snowden case looks like a highly successful and well thought out/carefully planned "public opinion warfare" operation.

Court dismisses union challenge of temporary foreign worker permits
Court dismisses union challenge of temporary foreign worker permits
If there is one thing that this entire incident has proven, it is that Unions are the only political force left that will protect the people. It was the Unions that stood up for us, not business, not government. I was raised to hate unions, anti-union propaganda everywhere, but when the chips fell and everything was on the line the only thing that stood up for us was the Unions. The Unions make every effort to protect our jobs, our communities, to stop unfair trade treaties, to protect workers health and safety, to protect our national sovereignty, to defend the middle class from the 1%. Unions are the reason we have weekends, property, savings, education. Unions prevent slavery and the temporary foreign worker program is the evidence. Unions have proven to be almost as important as the military as a mechanism for national defense. God bless Tommy Douglas and his Big Government National Health Care. God bless Big Government for winning World War II.
Everything political is a matter of organization, just look at how we the people have suffered national humiliation under big business and foreign powers. The answer to this is that we unite and organize into a political entity that sets objectives based on the interests of the people.
Big Government wins wars.
It is the only force capable of this, and we must gain power over it.
God bless the Unions.
God bless the Military.
God bless the Police.
God bless National Health Care.
God bless any Public institution that Defends the People.
We are public citizens, it is our duty to uphold our society.
Trust must be re-build between Government and Citizenry.
Individualism will not save us from this decline, collectivism will.
We must establish a new social contract, one where we take on greater responsibility for society in return for a government that backs us up when we need it too. What we have now is an arrangement where everyone looks out for themselves, big business attacks our countries, while citizens behave with extreme irresponsibility. This does not work. We need to look out for each other, work as a team. Whether you believe in god or not is irrelevant to the fact that Christianity was a code of conduct that provided a cohesive and functional social order. This is now gone and we are seeing the result.
Government should protect our people from both military and economic attacks. Government should protect our people from the conspiracies of the elite. Government should be a part of our family, our community. We should be the government, our interests should be represented in government.
Our government should be concerned with providing us with jobs, affordable housing, and education. Not catering to a foreign elite who stifle citizen opportunity, inflate housing prices, and destroy the cultural cohesiveness and values of our once prosperous communities.
It is your responsibility to take care of yourself and your community. Eat right, exercise, don't use drugs or alcohol, educate yourself, work hard, pay your taxes, commit everything to building up the society around you. Live below your means and invest the excess wisely. Become a kinder, more patient person and be ethical. When you speak to people, say what you mean, be genuine. The biggest problem the world faces is one of communication, be genuine and don't judge. Have a heart. Commit to being a better person, commit your life and time to achieving a better world around you. Chose your spouse carefully and stick with them. Take care of them and your children for the rest of your life. Stop this endless cycle of broken homes and social problems. Learn to love, then learn to love the whole of society as it where your own family, because it is.
Time is something that people don't understand. That is why lives are wasted. That is why civilizations fall. When people only experience the now they lose context of where they have come from and where they are going. When the links of communication through time have been broken, knowledge and purpose are lost. Do not fall to distraction. Imagine where you will be when you are old and what you have accomplished. Realize that all those short term meaningless distractions did not contribute one bit to you getting to where you want to be. Stop making excuses and do it. Stop complaining about things and change them. Figure out what you want and then get the skills and knowledge required for you to be in a position to contribute to the vision you have.
We need to create of society of no excuses and no judgement, one where we are all focused on solving problems. A society that has a government that cares for the people and a people that cares for the government. A seamless, symbiotic culture of achievement.
Failure is a result of the actions of both the citizen and the administrator, but so is success.
Yes government has failed us in many ways, but don't fall for the anti-government propaganda preached by big business and foreign powers. We need a cultural new deal.

Cyber-hacking War Finally gets Major Coverage
Cyber-hacking threat
MPs on Chinese hacking
Notice how the Conservatives try to avoid saying anything about China when questioned. Harper was on TV the other day saying that the best way to open up closed societies was to engage them in commerce. The opposite is what is happening, the dictatorships are getting stronger and influencing our democracies with all the money we outsourced to them. This has only made the enemy stronger, and provided the communist tyrants legitimacy.
Harper lets communist China have free rein over Canadian telecommunications
The Canadian Government’s 40 Hour Cyber Security Work Week
" …Government and private-sector systems are attacked by hackers, organized crime and state actors [China anyone? this government won’t say] on a “constant basis,” said [public safety minister] Toews…Now I guess they think those types don’t work during Ottawa’s night:
…the [Canadian Cyber Incident Response] centre [within Public Safety Canada] was still not operating on a 24-hour-a-day, 7-day-a-week basis, as originally intended, shutting down weekdays at 4 p.m. Ottawa time and closing for the weekend. The government plans to extend those hours to 9 p.m., seven days a week, but not round-the-clock… "
Chinese firm's Canadian contracts raise security fears
" Even Canada's own intelligence agencies have warned the Harper government of the risks of throwing open the door to Chinese telecom companies.Despite all the warnings, the federal and Ontario governments have rolled out the red carpet to Huawei, officially praising the Chinese company's partnerships in Canadian telecom projects with Telus, Bell, SaskTel and WIND Mobile.
During a recent visit to China, for instance, Prime Minister Stephen Harper said he was "honoured" to have witnessed the signing of large contracts for Huawei to provide Telus and Bell with the latest LTE high-speed wireless networks across Canada. "
Canada must ramp up cyber security in wake of alleged China-led attacks, experts say

HD misled saying it needed Chinese specialists for 'long wall' mining
" The company said it intended to use the so-called long-wall technique to harvest coal from its Murray River mine and insisted the Chinese workers were needed for their specialties in the use of it. ""But according to documents obtained by the union, HD Mining's application to the B.C. Ministry of Natural Resource Operations in June 2011 shows during a two-year bulk sample collection period the company had no plan to employ the long-wall technique. "
Pipeline industry pushed changes to Navigable Waters Protection Act: documents
" Documents obtained through the Access to Information Act show it came, in part, from the pipeline industry. The Canadian Energy Pipeline Association met with senior government officials in the fall of 2011, urging them not just to streamline environmental assessments, but also to bring in "new regulations under (the) Navigable Waters Protection Act," a CEPA slide presentation shows. Environmental law centre seeks investigation of muzzled federal scientists
" The complaint arises from a sweeping Conservative communications policy under which federal scientists must get permission before speaking publicly — permission that is often denied, delayed or limited to approved talking points. "The Making of a Natural Gas Glut
" In recent years Wall Street banks helped a wave of foreign energy companies including Chinese, Norwegian and Japanese firms buy up shale oil and gas leases across North America, even though too few wells had been drilled to assess their longevity and quality."Shale gas accounted for $46.5 billion in deals in the U.S. alone in 2011," explains Rogers. "The mergers and acquisitions market for shale assets exploded in the prior two years directly in sync with the downward descent of natural gas prices. In much the same way as mortgage backed securities bolstered the banks' profits before the downturn, energy M&A had now become the new profit centre within these banks." "
Andrew Nikiforuk: The Big Shift
" He also warns that all citizens should prepare for "high and likely volatile oil prices," and that governments should be "educating their citizenry of the risk of contraction to minimize potential future social discord." "If we are concerned about the availability of energy, why is the government in such a rush to ship the oil to foreign dictators.
NDP Pledges Election Reforms Libs Stalled
" 'City Hall for Sale'The Tyee began raising awareness of the gaps in the regulation of municipal politics in 2007. "It is entirely possible for offshore money to buy a municipal election in British Columbia," said Patrick Smith, a political scientist at Simon Fraser University, quoted in the series "City Hall for Sale."
"And it would be easy for the recipient of that money to hide it from public view," Smith said. "I think that's pretty stunning." "

" In 2011 a Montreal, Quebec man who wrote letters opposing shale gas fracking was charged under Canada's Anti-Terrorism Act. "
" He said there was real anger among Canadians about the degradation of the natural environment by oil, gas and other extractive industries and governments working for those industries and not in the public interest. Security forces should see Greenpeace as a "plus", a non-violent outlet for this anger, he argued. Report: Canada Should Toughen Rules for Foreign Firms
" The 88-page report, “Canada First: Leveraging Defence Procurement Through Key Industrial Capabilities,” is aimed at addressing growing frustration among Canadian defense firms who complain they have seen little quality work from the billions of dollars of military contracts awarded in the past several years by Canada’s ruling Conservative Party. Those include the purchases of tanks, helicopters and transport aircraft. The report from special procurement adviser Tom Jenkins noted that the Canadian government intends to invest 240 billion Canadian dollars ($232 billion) on new defense equipment in the next 20 years.
It recommended developing, at least initially, key industrial capabilities in six areas: Arctic and maritime security, soldier protection, command and support, cybersecurity, training systems and in-service support. "

"Senior Colonel Liu Mingfu, at the People's Liberation Army's National Defence University, told Fairfax Media this week that American strategic influence would be confined ''east of the Pacific midline'' as it is displaced by Chinese power throughout east Asia, including Australia."" "
Why America Is Losing the War Against China's Hacker Spies
" In the last 10 months, Chinese hackers have doubled their forces, with 10 teams deploying 300 malware groups. "There is a tremendous amount of manpower being thrown at this from their side," Stewart, the face of our anti-malware campaign. told Businessweek. Meanwhile, most American businesses and agencies are "outmatched by an enemy with vast resources and a long head-start," Lawrence and Riley write. There is one slightly encouraging tid-bit in the Bloomberg piece, however. At least some of our important national security organizations have enough resources to combat the hackers. Lawrence and Riley list the Pentagon and a "handful of three letter organizations" as "possibly" having enough manpower to combat the vast Chinese effort. "
Russia tests U.S. air defenses with nuclear-armed bombers over Guam
" Even as President Obama advocates reducing the U.S. nuclear arsenal and transitioning the military to enhanced emphasis on commandos and drone aircraft for active use in hotspots around the world, Russia’s defense model revolves around heavy strategic and conventional deterrence models which American policymakers have long since abandoned as being “outdated Cold War thinking.” "" Both Russia and China have taken seriously the need to invest in strategic weapons platforms, while the United States’ strategy of calculated nuclear ambiguity and minimal deterrence has placed the defense of the United States behind words rather than weapons. "
" When was the last time the Pentagon actually calculated or assessed how many of our bombers, tankers and ships would be caught on the ground or in port during a nuclear first strike? Is this even a consideration these days? Or is Iran and third world dictators who abuse their people the only enemies of the United States our leaders have the imagination – or political agenda – to prepare against? "

Idle No More First Nations Uprising over Chinese Takeover Bill C-45
Many thanks to the First Nations People for standing on the front lines in defence of Canadian Democracy. We must preserve the Wisdom of the Elders. We must learn to respect the land and the people. Unite in resistance to tyranny. Stand up for Canada.
Rising aboriginal frustration palpable
“OTTAWA -- As far as First Nations are concerned, it is fitting that Prime Minister Stephen Harper announced Canada had approved the Chinese takeover of two Canadian oil companies from the room on Parliament Hill known as the Aboriginal People's Committee Room.It was just another sign the natural resources First Nations should be benefiting from were being sold off under their noses without their input. Just days earlier, Chief Patrick Madahbee of the Anishinabek Nation Grand Council was among a group of chiefs who tried to force their way into the House of Commons to be heard, angry that the government appeared to be uninterested in listening to or working with First Nations.”
The grassroots movement, which has included a hunger strike by Attawapiskat Chief Theresa Spence and rallies across the country:
“There is little central organization of the movement, said Martin, who became alarmed after researching the federal government’s Bill C-45, the omnibus bill that scraps protection for many of Canada’s waterways and makes it possible to sell reserve land without consultation, and FIPA — the Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement — a powerful investment treaty with China.Martin is hoping the rally will attract not only First Nations, but anyone who is against the proposed Enbridge Northern Gateway pipeline”

Federal Minister Finley could face contempt of court charges in HD Mining court case
“Federal Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development Diane Finley could be facing a contempt of court charge tomorrow if documents related to a court case involving HD Mining and two unions are not released. Charles Gordon, lawyer for the International Union of Operating Engineers and Construction and Specialized Workers Unions, said the ministry has not forced HD Mining to release documents containing resumes of Canadians who applied for jobs at the company's Murray River coal mine project. Earlier this month, a federal court justice ordered all materials related to Labour Market Opinions used to apply for permits for 201 Chinese nationals to work at the mine be given to the unions. This week, a Federal Court of Appeal judge wouldn't accept an appeal filed by the federal government to block the ruling.” Steven Harper and Christy Clark have alined themselves with the Chinese Communist Party. The Feds are doing everything they can to back up the Chinese resource companies in their struggle to import Chinese workers against the wishes of Canadian Unions.
What the CSIS director said and why
“Richard Fadden basically alleged that the Chinese government is infiltrating Canadian political bodies subtlely and that this influence extends to municipal and political bureaucrats and politicians and even a couple of unnamed cabinet ministers. It was a very alarming allegation for a spymaster to make publicly. In Canada, we don't have a tradition of CSIS going public with theses sorts of concerns about specific individuals, and certainly [not]individual politicians.”
HD Mining's Biggest Backer Is Mysterious,Tracing BC coal mine owners, union left in dark about majority shareholder Huiyong Holdings.
“It also questions the backgrounds of some of the people involved in the company, such as the company's chief consultant Ye Qing, referring to him as "as high-level an insider as one might hope to become within the Chinese Communist Party." The United Steelworkers' Union has been pressuring the government to consider pulling HD Mining's permits allowing 201 Chinese miners to work at the company's Murray River project since discovering help wanted ads indicating Mandarin language skills were an asset for the jobs. They alleged the mine wants to use Chinese workers to cut down on labour costs and benefits. Last week one of the miners from China filed a human rights complaint against the union on the grounds it has stir up contempt for Chinese people, a charge the USW has denied saying it is protecting the interests of local workers.”
What a Joke, try and file a human rights complaint against the CCP and see what happens.
To become a resource colony for the CCP, the biggest human rights abuser in the world, is against what Canada is supposed to stand for. Have some guts and stand up to the establishment. People like us make the world what it is, history is not a show that passes us by, we make history, get involved in the movement.
Rafe Mair: All I Want for Christmas Is a May election that puts in power true defenders of BC's natural bounty.
“To me the dominant issue before all others going into May's provincial election is the environment. Fiscal fudge-ups can be fixed as can most bad policy. But environmental damage -- be it due to fish farms, pipelines, tankers, Site C or loss of agricultural land -- is, to all intents and purposes, permanent.”
Oil riches wasted discredit the 'Calgary School.' But a proven path to prosperity exists.
“Alberta is responsible for setting and collecting petroleum rents for 70 per cent of Canada's production -- the sixth largest in the world. Why is the province that casts itself as the seat of sound fiscal management, now having to borrow money while cutting services and running deficits? Norway produces roughly the same amount of oil as Alberta, yet this tiny nation has managed to salt away over $600 billion in accumulated oil wealth in a sovereign wealth fund that now amounts to more than one per cent of global equity markets.
Norway has no public debt, full employment and fully-funded social programs that Canadians would drool over. Norwegians enjoy free university tuition, universal day care and 25 days of paid holidays per year. Per capita spending on healthcare is thirty per cent higher in Norway; funding for arts and culture is more than three times higher than Canada.”
So our resources are now owned by a totalitarian regime, workers will be brought in from China, to work at Chinese owned resource developments. Pipelines, will be build to ship our unprocessed oil reserves across First Nations Territory putting waterways at risk to a fuel product that specifically is impossible to clean up. The resources will be loaded on to huge Chinese tankers that will make daily trips through some of the most dangerous coastline waters in the world, all against the wishes of the majority of the Canadian people. And on top of that The director of the Canadian spy agency has warned that certain foreign governments are aggressively recruiting Canadian politicians.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Chinese Ambasador goes on CBC tells Canadians to "shut up"
"We're not here to grab your resources. We're here to participate."
The most arrogant and insulting ambassador I have ever heard has just told CBC's Even Solomon that Canadians concerned about China's activities in Canada should "shut up".The standard communist party line told to those deemed enemies of the party. As china becomes more powerful it becomes more aggressive, it no longer has to hide it's intentions of world domination.
They once said "bide your time hide your capabilities" now they simply say "shut up".
We are dealing with the polar opposite of the Dalai Lama, the opposite of Christ.
The party only wants control, and they will unleash violence on Canada if we don't keep on our guard. It's only a matter of time. Vote out any politician who supports them. Vote out Harper.
It's actually kind of funny, the ambassador does not realize how ridiculous he sounds to us.
In this country trying to push people around makes you look like a fool.
Bullies are not respected, they are reviled.
This is Canada, we don't have to shut up. We don't care how many guns you have.
Some commenters have said Evan Soloman should have slapped him in the face.
I think the ambassador has just slapped his own face more than anyone else ever could.
Some excerpts from the interview:
"we have achieved a great deal in our political reform, people enjoy total freedom"
"it's a standard agreement, that means that the two countries are mature."
"all this talk about so called security concerns"
"they have to... I think.... shut up"
"It's a cold war mentality"
"thank you by by"
CSIS: China controls Canadian Politicians
CSIS warns of threat of foreign takovers
- It applies to trade agreements between Canada and China and, thanks to the premier, BC as well.
- It is, like NAFTA, a treaty that for practical reasons, is all but unbreakable for 31 years.
- It gives China the ability to obtain huge damages if we don’t perform our side of any deal and to sue for them in her own courts
- This agreement has not been debated in Parliament nor in the Legislature of BC
- It won’t be debated in Parliament or the BC Legislature because both the Prime Minister and Premier Clark don’t think they need the agreement of our legislative bodies
- Without any question, this treaty will impact upon the Province of British Columbia and could cost us hundreds of millions of dollars
- It seriously compromises the constitutional rights BC has under Section 92 of the Constitution Act (1982)
Vancouver City staff consulted with Chinese Government over protest ban bylaw
"Why would we consult with them about our bylaw"
"He stated that one of the most effective methods used to develop influence over political leaders is to provide them with all-expenses-paid travel to China and lavish entertainment while they are there."
"In May this year, media reported [1] [2] that the Mayor of Ottawa, Mr. Larry O’Brien, upon return from a business trip to China, refused to proclaim Falun Dafa Day as he had done in previous years because he said he “made a commitment.” It was construed that he made a commitment to Chinese officials during his trip to China."
"A clear example of the mobilization of students by the Chinese embassy occurred right on Parliament Hill on June 24 during Hu Jintao’s visit to Canada. Students, paid and bussed from different cities, appeared to be holding a welcome activity for the Chinese leader, but actually they were there to target other Canadians."
" First secretary Liu Shaohua from the education department at the Chinese embassy was caught on tape telling Chinese students that they were going into battle against Canadians who sought to bring awareness to the horrific human rights environment in China during Hu’s visit. Yuan Pinghua, another organizer, continued: “Now in a word this is like waging war, so today we are mobilizing for war, having all of you raise your guard.”
" Tape Reveals Embassy Footing Bill for Hu Jintao’s Welcome Rally "
“You do not talk about it outside, do not talk about it to anyone, except to people in this circle.” - Liu Shaohua, Chinese Embassy Ottawa."
" “Originally, we did not expect the situation to be so complex,” Liu said. “Falun Gong, Tibetan separatists, Uyghur separatists, democracy people have already moved onto Parliament Hill [...] This is a battle that relates to defending the reputation of our motherland. The embassy and authorities inside China have a very high requirement.” "
“For our country this is such little money. In my view this is a struggle, a political struggle.”
" Liu says when Hu visited in 2005 and was met with protesters, officials in China were furious. He complained that during that visit, Canadian authorities did not co-operate with Chinese demands regarding the protesters, but this time he says there were some limited guarantees. “Some parts cannot be guaranteed because this country is particular about so-called freedom. It does not care. It says, ‘we are a free country.’ So we are still negotiating. Falun Gong has already occupied three locations.” "
The Photo Harper doesn’t want you to see “At last night’s dinner in Ottawa in honour of President Hu, from left to right, Andre Desmarais, president and co-Chair of the Power Corporation Board of Directors…who has contributed greatly to the strengthening of China-Canada relations, Hu Jintao and the Prime Minister of Canada, Stephen Harper.”
"In spite of Globe and Mail hide-the-picture hype, the real story here is how the Canadian government allows the censorship of the out-of-line Chinese Embassy who, at the end of the day, successfully banned the Epoch Times and New Tang Dynasty from the coverage of last night’s press conference."

China Investment Vs. Canadian Democracy
The basic idea is that political repression is a cost on human society. So much human potential lost because some crazy dictator somewhere thought that personal power over human society is worth more than human life. We now have a communist dictatorship expanding it's power over the world.
Under chinese communist rule none of us will be safe. We not only resist for the principals of freedom, democracy and love for one another, we resist for the sake of our very existence.
Canada is a primary target of the regime, they have their sights set on the resources.
Understand that this regime has killed millions of it's own people, they will have no mercy for us.
Harper Government encourages the use of Chinese state owned Huawei technology in Canadian communications networks.
National security concerns raised over Huawei technology used by Telus, Bell, and Wind.
CBC covered this one. I guess that why Harper hates Canadian Public Television so much.
Van Cleave says the intelligence community fears digital “back doors” could be hidden in the telecommunications networks, allowing spies to steal American and Canadian secrets and ultimately disrupt everything from public utilities to military operations in the event of international conflict. It was revealed last month Public Safety Canada warned foreign telecom ownership is a ‘considerable risk’. It was only last year the Federal Government was target in a cyber attack originating from China, that compromised computers within the Finance, Treasury Board and Defence Research departments. The CBC obtained documents that revealed hackers stole large amounts of classified data before the systems were taken offline.
(Did any of you catch the news that for the past 5 years or so Canada has left the door wide open to Chinese cyber attacks. Apparently our cyber security team only works 9 - 5 Ottawa Time. Here's one Link to the National Post coverage.
"but the centre has yet to operate on a 24/7 basis as originally intended, auditors found. The government has committed to expanding hours of operation to 15 hours a day"
Here's another link, The Canadian Governments 40 hour cyber security work week.
Did you here Vic Toews excuse, technology has changed so fast we can't keep up.
Another link cbc.
Currently, the U.S. and Australia has barred Huawei from bidding on major telecom contracts in their respective countries, on the notion the Chinese firm poses a potential security threat. Some have accused Huawei of being engaged in espionage for the Chinese government, which the company has denied."
Have you seen this: Canadian and Chinese governments meet in secret, will not spill the details.
Why will the government not tell us what hell is going on.
How many alarm bells need to sound before you realize we are being targeted.
So lets take stock of a few of the the events of this past year,
Harper meets in secret with Communist Propaganda Minister, (Globe and Mail)
Harper government proposes bill for mass warrentless surveillance,

Stop the Sellout to China - What has Harper Done
What Has Harper Done?
http://www.greenparty.ca/stop-the-sellout
On September 9th, Prime Minister Stephen Harper signed an agreement with China, the Canada-China Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement. The agreement was kept from the Canadian public and Parliament until September 26th, 2012, when it was quietly made public by the Harper Conservatives.Red Carpet for China
So what is the Canada-China investment agreement? Simply put, it is the most significant trade agreement signed by Canada since NAFTA. Only this time our “partner” is the communist government in Beijing, an authoritarian regime with an appalling record on human rights. We at the Green Party of Canada believe there are many flaws in that agreement. And we think Canadians should know about them:
1. Open bar for Chinese state-owned enterprises
The Canada-China investment agreement means easier takeovers of Canadian assets, especially in the resource sector. In the context of the possible takeover of Nexen by the Chinese National Offshore Oil Company (CNOOC), it is crucial that we collectively pause to consider the wisdom of granting Chinese state-owned enterprises (SOEs) such an easy access to our natural resources.2. Canadian laws vs. Chinese profits
The Canada-China investment agreement would allow Chinese companies (including state-owned enterprises) to sue federal or provincial governments over decisions that can limit their profits. Favorable rulings in favor of Chinese companies mean we collectively have to financially compensate the Chinese investor. It also means Canadian laws can be cancelled.3. Back room deals
The Canada-China investment agreement would allow Chinese investors to sue Canada outside of Canadian courts. Special arbitrators would take the decisions. These arbitrators, unlike judges, do not have secure tenures or set salaries. Their decision cannot be subject to judicial review.4. Right to be heard
Only the federal government is allowed to take part in the arbitration process. Provincial governments or Canadian companies, even if their interest are affected, do not gave the right to voice their concerns during the arbitration process.5. China’s obsession for secrecy
The Canada-China investment agreement allows Chinese lawsuits to be kept secret. At any time, we will not know if we are being sued and who will decide the case. We will not know what our government is saying on our behalf. We will not know if Canada has been ordered to change government decisions. This is a complete U-turn for Canada who has always insisted on complete openness in investor-state arbitration, for example when signing the Canada-US-Mexico free trade deal. What the Greens have done
The day after the Canada-China investment agreement was made public on September 26th by the Conservatives, Green Party of Canada Leader Elizabeth May held a press conference to warn Canadians on the dangers of the agreement. The following day, Elizabeth wrote to the Speaker of the House of Commons demanding an emergency debate about the deal. Speaker Andrew Scheer, Conservative MP for for Regina-Qu'Appelle, turned down May’s request. So far we are the only party raising the issue, demanding debate and alerting Canadians to the threat -- reduced sovereignty, reduced democracy, all for more Chinese ownership of Canada's resources.
We now call on Canadian citizens to also demand a democratic process for Canada’s ratification of FIPA while we still have time.
To take action, spread the word on social media and check the link at the top of this posting.

china controls Canadian oil / Prime Ministers office
We need to get the pipeline economics right
By Robyn Allan http://www.robynallan.com/
http://www.timescolonist.com/opinion/need+pipeline+economics+right/6611396/story.html
Achorus is singing the praises of the oil industry's economic benefit, from the boardrooms of Alberta to the Prime Minister's Office.
They advocate the rapid export of Alberta's crude as a panacea for our economic future. They cite big numbers from studies prepared by industry-funded research institutes and consulting firms.
But what if the studies are more marketing tools than reliable research? What if more B.C. jobs are lost with Northern Gateway than without it - jobs that actually exist and sustain our diversified economy? What if a stand against the pipeline actually means a healthier, more sustainable economic future for B.C.?
After extensive analysis of the Northern Gateway economic-benefit case prepared by Enbridge, it is clear the study is bogus. It suffers from erroneous assumptions, calculation errors and inappropriate use of an input/output model. The study assumes the Canadian dollar depreciates to 85 cents US by 2016, and stays there for 30 years.
Enbridge's economic case is not only unreliable, but unusable. The benefits don't exist - not for B.C. and not for most of Canada. Northern Gateway will benefit a handful of large oil companies, including Sinopec, China National Offshore Oil Company and PetroChina, all owned by the Communist Party of China.
Northern Gateway has been presented as a way for oil producers to get higher prices in Asia. What we aren't told is these price increases apply to every barrel sold in Canada, and these price increases are passed onto Canadians.
When I filed my report with the National Energy Board, Enbridge confirmed the intent of their pipeline - higher oil prices in Canada with Northern Gateway than without it, on every barrel, every year for 30 years.
Canada is a net exporter of oil, so pipeline proponents claim higher prices outweigh the cost to the rest of us. What is not widely known - and excluded from the Enbridge analysis - is Canada is a major importer of crude oil.
Quebec and the Atlantic provinces are almost completely dependent on foreign crude oil imports from volatile and uncertain markets such as the Middle East, the same markets China is trying to protect itself from by importing our crude. Be careful of spin masquerading as substance. When Prime Minister Stephen Harper says Northern Gateway is in the national interest, it may not be Canada's.
As long as Canada depends on foreign markets for almost half of its crude-oil needs, Canadian economic security and stability is threatened. Exporting raw crude also means loss of value-added potential in upgrading and refining, and the jobs that go with it.
Harper promised he would not let this happen when running for re-election in 2008. A Times Colonist editorial on May 4, 2012, suggested the "construction of the pipeline will create 60,000 jobs over five years, most of them in our province."
Not really. Those "jobs" are person-years of employment and the analysis was conducted on expenditures made from 2009-2017. Enbridge allocates 57 per cent to B.C.
Person-years of employment are erroneously interchanged with jobs, but they are not jobs. They represent the full-time equivalent of one year of employment. If we want to discuss jobs, divide by 9 years.
Total on-site B.C. construction employment according to Enbridge is 455 jobs. But recent statements made by Enbridge CEO Pat Daniel suggest even those jobs may not benefit B.C. workers.
China's state-owned PetroChina - which owns oil-producing rights in Alberta, a fleet of tankers, refineries in China and builds many of China's pipelines - has expressed an interest in bidding on the construction contract for Northern Gateway.
With millions of workers and lower labour rates, it's likely PetroChina could deliver a competitive bid, all the more easily facilitated by the Harper government's recently introduced Temporary Foreign Worker Policy.
Northern Gateway means almost an oil tanker a day transiting Douglas Channel. This traffic crowds out local economic activity. As "super natural" British Columbia becomes a super-oil-tanker terminal for Alberta, we put at risk B.C. jobs in tourism, fishing and related activities, as well as First Nations' rights and way of life, all for no measurable economic benefit.
This is even before we talk about oil-spill risk. Why would we even contemplate this project going through?
